Lowrider cars cruise into Petersen Automotive Museum for exhibit of Chicano art and culture

Mister Cartoon stands next to his 1959 Chevrolet Impala called “Penny Lane” at the Petersen Automotive Museum open “The High Art of Riding Low: Ranflas, Corazón e Inspiración.” The exhibit will run through Sunday, June 3rd, 2018, and looks at the lowrider as an artistic catalyst and cultural icon. The range of work on display includes installations, lithographs, sculptures, drawings, paintings to photography, as well as vehicles themselves in Los Angeles Thursday, June 29, 2017.
