San Gabriel Valley studio continues legacy of Japanese internmenta s most famous photographer

SAN GABRIEL >> In one of the most famous photos documenting the internment of Japanese-Americans during World War II, three boys stand behind a barbed-wire fence at the Manzanar War Relocation Center. That photo still hangs above the front desk at Toyo Miyatake Studio, located in the San Gabriel Village area since moving from Little Tokyo in downtown Los Angeles in 1985.
