Homeplace festival to feature photography workshops

The sessions, from 9amCT-11amCT/10am-12pmNoonCT, will be for those 16 years and older and the second, from 12pmNoonCT/1pmET until 2pmCT/3pmET will be for ages 10-15 year olds.

Atlanta to be home of new fashion museum opening in October

http://scadfash.com/At a time when fashion exhibitions at major museums are enjoying a heyday, a new museum devoted to fashion has just been announced and will open in October in Atlanta, Georgia in the US. The Savannah College of Art and Design is behind the new museum, which will be called SCADfash and will occupy 10,000 square feet (930 square meters) of public gallery space plus a fashion conservation lab and a media library, displaying garments by designers including Saint Laurent, Oscar de la Renta and Givenchy.

Viola BeachWith an appearance this weekend on the BBC Introducing stage at the Reading and Leeds festivals and a catchy, Britpop-channeling debut single just released, UK indie-dance quartet Viola Beach is one to watch. Based in Warrington, Viola Beach is Kris Leonard (guitar/vocals), River Reeves (guitar), Tomas Lowe (bass) and Jack Dakin (drums), a relatively young foursome with a following in the North West of England and just a few gigs and some national airplay under their belts.
