Epson Introduces R2880
Epson has introduced a new 13-inch inkjet printer. The Stylus Photo R2880 uses Epson’s eight-color, pigment-based UltraChrome K3 with Vivid Magenta ink set and Radiance processing technology to output borderless prints at resolutions up to 5760×1440. Epson claims the combination produces greater color fidelity, smoother gradations, reduced metamerism, and faster print times. As its “K3″ name indicates, the ink set includes three black inks to achieve a wide tonal range in monochrome prints, and a new advanced black-and-white mode in the printer driver allows photographers to fine-tune their look and tone. The R2880 replaces the R2400 as the flagship of Epson’s 13-inch printer line.
