Leica has created an upgrade program for its M8 digital rangefinder. The program will offer replacements of hardware elements of the camera as improved components become available, departing from the firmware-only upgrades that are typically available from camera manufacturers. The first upgrade offered by the program will include replacements of the camera’s shutter and LCD cover.
